I’m at my best when I'm connecting people and brands to resources and solutions that address challenges and uncover opportunities. I thrive when immersed in work that's creative and strategic, vibrant and tactical—forging relationships, building identities, developing strategies, getting vulnerable, and crafting stories while helping brands gain customers, launch products, open locations, and compete in the marketplace. A career-long brand fan, I’ve served in senior director-level brand and marketing roles, have owned and operated small businesses, have written two books, and have developed numerous products in the consumer packaged goods space.

Named one of Fast Company magazine’s 100 most creative people in business, my work work has been featured in Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Gourmet, Good Housekeeping, Real Simple, Martha Stewart, Martha Stewart Weddings, Sunset, O Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and more.

Throughout my career I have appeared on stage and screen sharing tips and tricks for operating small businesses and creating loyal brand followings. I’ve taught classes and workshops and has presented at Google, Yahoo, 3% Conference, Creative Mornings, Bluprint/Craftsy, Feast Portland, Food52, Wieden + Kennedy, Schoolhouse Electric, and more. Additionally, I have developed products and experiences with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Au Fudge, Martha Stewart, Wieden + Kennedy, Airbnb, Farmgirl Flowers, Amazon, Union Wine Company, and more.

I live in Portland with three cats and a collection of over 3,000 books. I believe in the power of art and reading, especially in the lives of young people. I teach writing classes at my local library and volunteer as a reading tutor, as a mentor to high school students writing college application essays, and on the PTO board of Beaverton's Arts and Communication Magnet Academy.
